Government of Moscow region

The Moscow Regional Duma is the sole legislative authority in the region, consisting of 50 deputies—25 elected in single-member constituencies and 25 proportionally through party lists. The current Duma, elected in September 2021, serves until September 2026.

The executive branch is led by the Governor, the region’s highest-ranking official, elected for a five-year term. The current Governor’s term ends in September 2028. The Government of the Moscow Region serves as the supreme executive authority, supported by specialized bodies managing specific administrative areas.
